Apartment 1 at Hermann Hof is on the ground floor and measures around 50 m², sleeping up to three people. It has a living room with kitchenette, a bedroom, a bathroom and a courtyard: it is the only one of the five you reach without stairs.
What it’s like
You walk in and you are already home: no ramp, no step. Instead of a balcony there is a courtyard, an outdoor space at ground level where the bikes live, the towels dry and muddy walking boots stay outside the door.
Inside, the layout is built for three people with nothing wasted. The living room holds the sofa and the kitchenette together, so whoever is cooking stays in company rather than disappearing into another room. The bedroom is separate and the bathroom has a shower.

For anyone who would rather avoid stairs. The only ground-floor apartment: useful with limited mobility, with a pushchair, or simply with heavy luggage.
For guests with a dog. Pets are welcome throughout the farmhouse, and here you step straight outside without stairs or corridors — at seven in the morning that matters.
For anyone coming and going a lot. Bikes, walks, shopping: on the ground floor everything is quicker.
On the ground floor the line between indoors and out is a door, not a flight of stairs.
